Jamie has been beading since August 2020 and has had time to grow her craft over the last year of zoom medical school at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, beading to keep her hands busy during group discussions and seminars. Her favourite beading involves anatomy & organs, and she has made anatomically correct hearts and brains based on what she’s learned in class. Many of her proceeds & projects have gone towards supporting Indigenous community initiatives, including Free Grassy, Urban Native Youth’s Two Spirit program, and the IRSSS.
